This model was commissioned by Matchbox International Collectors Association of North America.

The model was produced for members unable to attend the MICA meeting on June 28, 1997 in Hershey, Pennsylvania.

Released with the full permission of Matchbox Collectibles, Mattel Inc. and limited to a total of 500 models. This model has been altered from the original Model T Ford Van produced by Matchbox.

In June 1997 Tyco held their 4th Matchbox Show in Hershey, Pennsylvania, USA. MICA Non-Attendees organised their own party on the Friday evening and commemorated the event with this special Code-2 model.
The Y12/YGB19 Ford Model 'T' was stripped and repainted in a chocolate brown (well Hershey is the chocolate town of America). The decoration was by way of transfers and two types were used. Thirty-six models were decorated with very small transfers which were replaced on the final run with much larger transfers.

Variations: It can be fitted with red 12 spoke plastic wheels with plain or whitewall tyres and can also be fitted with gold wheels.
Roof colours are also known to vary from brown, gold or red.
All but 36 were produced with large van side decals. The remaining 36 were produced with much smaller van side decals and as a result are much rarer.
This model used the Y12-3 as the donor model and therefore comes with all its usual variations.

The total production was limited to 500.

Note: Each model was packaged in an attractive numbered MOY D2-type picture box and comes with a certificate which matches number on box inner flap.
